Background

Tom’s passion for theatre was awakened at an early age after regular theatre visits with his parents.
His first encounters with the stage were at Primary School in Christmas Shows and then as Bill Sykes in Oliver at High School. Tom went on to take Theatre Studies at college where he performed in Timberlake Wertenbaker’s Our Country’s Good and played the lead role in Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd – The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street.

He then took a Performing Arts course and played Ferdinand in The Duchess Of Malfi and Theseus/Oberon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. It was during this year that he auditioned for Drama School.

Tom was awarded a place at Drama Centre London. He studied acting here for three years where he tackled such roles as Friar Bonaventura in Tis Pity She’s a Whore, Bessemenov in The Philistines, Harpagon in The Miser and Buckingham in Richard III.

Since leaving drama school Tom has appeared in ‘Is Your Bag Really Necessary?’ – a comedy musical at The Rosemary Branch Theatre, Elektra at The Camden People’s Theatre and Alcestis at The Actor’s Church Covent Garden.

He has also been engaged for voice recording work for Waste Watch.
